The music ministry is a vital part of worship at Hillcrest Baptist Church.  Our services are planned in such a way so as to provide as much time as possible for music.

Our music program is blended, using everything from the old hymns to the new choruses, and all in between.  Congregational singing is emphasized, as it is the primary time the whole church can participate directly in worship and not just be observers and listeners.

We have choirs for all ages beginning at four years old.  Our elementary kids have two choirs that sing throughout the school year, and they do a musical each spring.  Our Middle School and High School kids are involved in youth choir and stay very active.  The senior high youth went to Colorado this year and the middle school group is attending "SonPower" in San Antonio.

The adult choir is our primary worship choir.  It is open to all adults who wish to participate.  They sing each Sunday, serve as worship leaders and do various special programs throughout the year.

The Sonshine Singers is for senior adults.  This group sings periodically in our worship services and travel various places singing concerts.  They have been to the Rio Grande Valley several times, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri on concert tours.

We also have a hand bell choir and an orchestral instrumental group to add to our worship services.  If you have a musical interest, we have a place for you.
